Membership

OPEN TO ALL PRE-HEALTH STUDENTS!

Visit our Engage page here, sign in, click the blue "JOIN" button,  pay dues (see method below), and you will be signed up to be notified of events and meetings!

Associate Membership

  • Until meeting the requirements for full membership, students may participate in meetings and some events as an Associate Member.

  • ​For returning Associate members, there is a $15 membership fee per year.

  • For new Associate members, there is an initial fee of $25, and following that year, the standard $15 fee.

  • We have monthly chapter meetings/events, and 2 of these, PER semester, are required to maintain active associate membership. Otherwise, the $25 fee will apply in each of the following years.

Full Membership

  • Spring 2023 Full Membership Application Deadline: February 26th @11:59pm

  • Become a full member of AED to receive the full membership benefits!

    • Full members no longer have to pay yearly dues.

    • Attend the biennial National Convention.

    • Access to AED Full Member Scholarships.

    • Recognition of your scholarly achievement.

    • Becoming a full member is not only a great thing to put on a resume, but a way to keep up with the National AED organization!

  • Requirements for membership:

    • Every candidate must meet the minimum scholastic requirements as
      stated in the National Constitution, and in the Texas Zeta bylaws. There requirement include the
      following:

      • National AED Membership Application filled out (must be typed, not handwritten)

      • Texas Zeta Application completed

      • Provide TCU and transfer unofficial transcripts

      • Minimum 3.2 GPA overall 

      • Minimum 3.2 Science GPA 

      • At least 3 semesters (45 credits) of college coursework

      • At least one completed semester at TCU

      • $100 total membership fee ($75 to national, $25 to Texas Zeta)

      • Volunteer documentation - listed in the Texas Zeta Form

  • How To Apply

    • Download & fill out (via typing) the National Application linked above​

    • Gather your unofficial transcripts and volunteer hours information

    • Fill out the Full Member Application via Engage

      • Access the application by going to Engage.tcu.edu > Sign in > Alpha Epsilon Delta page > Scroll down to access forms > Full Member Application

      • This application is due February 26th @11:59pm

Payment Method for Dues (Both Associate & Full Memberships):
We 
accept membership dues via Zelle for both new and returning members. You can access Zelle by downloading your mobile banking app and checking under the payment tab. We will not be accepting Venmo for dues this year, so please try to find Zelle in your mobile banking app and refer to this flyer if you have any questions!

Note: If you have questions regarding financial assistance, please email a member of the AED executive team or Jessica Alvarez (jessica.alvarez@tcu.edu). We want everyone who wants to be a part of AED to participate!
